The number of Minnesota acute care hospitals that provide onsite Computerized Tomography Scanning Services (CT Scans) by hospital staff increased from 84 in 2000 to 112 in 2006. The number of hospital CT Scans saw a 52 percent increase over the six-year period.

The number of acute care hospitals that provide onsite Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging Services (MRI) by hospital staff remained at 51 in 2006. The number of MRIs performed at these hospitals increased 68 percent from 2000 to 2006.
